It's a great idea. It's a place where you can talk about those things that inspire us to be great teachers. It's got a page on who are your favorite teachers and one on tools and ideas that are useful.

Hi Oliver,
ReplyDeleteI think this was a fantastic YouTube clip - lots of very helpful tips and coming from none other than the students. Very interesting.
I agree with Emma and yourself. This is a powerful clip. In business when you leave sometimes you are asked top complete an exit statement. I believe teachers could do the same by asking their students to produce a clip like this but you must be prepared to use it to grow and modify your appraoch to teaching. Can be confronting and you need broad shoulders.
ReplyDeleteI once asked my principal for a performance interview because I was conducting an online course with teachers across the state teaching them about a new performance framework for teachers.
It was nothing like my expectations. The principal cut me up in a very unprofessional way. The experience couldn't be recommended to any of my colleagues. Aspects of my performance that I thought were innovative and outstanding weren't even recognized by the principal as worthwhile.
The feedback certainly made me reflect long and hard about how others see you and your performance in the workplace.
